Q: What am I even looking at?A: You're looking at the Li'l Guy Fundraiser! An idea I had to combine my dazzling artistic talent with a cause that's deeply important to me. For a minimum donation of $5.00 USD ($2.00 USD if using PayPal) to the official fundraiser page, a new Li'l Guy will be added right here on lilguyfundraiser.com! Each Li'l Guy comes with their very own nametag, likes/dislikes, and attribution to those who donated.
Q: How are you able to create so many Li'l Guys?A: When designing this project, I created 56 separate modular 3D assets that could be used interchangeably. When a donation is made, I pull from seven pools of objects to make a one-of-a-kind Li'l Guy and render them out before uploading here. In total, there are 2,097,152 possible combinations! There may even be some rare variants still yet to be seen...
Q: Was AI used in the development of this project?A: NEVER. I hand-drew the concepts, then modeled, textured and rendered everything in Blender 3D. These are ethically sourced Li'l Guys.
Q: How can I be sure my money is going to the right place?A: Every donation that gets made to the official fundraiser page will go directly to The Trevor Project. No middlemen needed!
Q: Am I allowed to choose a name for my Li'l Guy?A: Yes! If you want to choose a name for your Li'l Guy, simply type it out in the "Leave a comment" field when donating. Any names deemed harmful/profane will be given a suitable replacement.
Q: I want to donate but I would like to keep my name anonymous. Is there a way to do that?A: Yes! When sending in your donation, simply check the "I prefer to remain anonymous" box.
Q: I donated to the fundraiser but don't see my Li'l Guy yet. What gives?A: Please allow for up to a few days after you make your donation to see your Li'l Guy appear here. To keep things as human as possible, I've opted to minimize how much this process is automated. This means I am manually uploading each and every Li'l Guy that gets donated to the fundraiser. Rest assured they won't be forgotten!
Q: HELP!! My donation isn't going through!A: If you're attempting to use a credit/debit card to donate, the minimum donation threshold is $5.00 USD. I wasn't aware of this until the day before the campaign launched, and I had already based all of my marketing around the $2.00 USD price point. This is totally my bad, and I'm terribly sorry for the confusion!If the above isn't relevant to the issue you're experiencing, ensure all of your information is correct, and double-check that your bank isn't trying to flag the donation as fraudulent.
Q: I want to support the fundraiser but can't afford to donate right now. What can I do?A: No worries! Simply sharing this page with friends/family helps our cause to make a real, sustainable difference in the world. Thank you!
